This episode comes from the Youtube stream on October 5 2023. Things get off to a lively start here, drawing a bit from LCD sound system I think, a band I really enjoy. At first I didn’t realize the similarities, but once I did I decided to just lean into them, and fans of Dance Yrself Clean may recognize the similarities here. The second piece has a nostalgic feel to it, sort of a Chad and Jeremy, or Mr. Sandman type of vibe to the progression. Things become a little more moody and broody in the third piece, with a cool halting bass line and some groovy tremolo. The fourth piece develops into something pretty funky and cool, for some reason reminding me of a 70’s detective movie, or something along those lines. The fifth song is my favorite of the episode, developing into a big sparkling spacey song that achieves outer orbit at times. Things end with a nice mid tempo walking paced piece, with some nice lilting figures.
