Episode 46 Spooky Town
Things start off slow and ambient in a really nice way, with some really nice wandering arco layers over a drizzly pizzicato motif. The second piece is much more driving, and has some nice funky syncopation to it and some crystalline effects. The next piece is more mellow, with some really nice bowed chord intervals that make for some unexpected colors, with a cheerful kind of melancholy that gets more determined by the end. The next piece starts out a bit dark, but things really lighten up about halfway through and it gets more uplifting as things progress. The next piece develops into another halfway Western sounding piece, but with a spaciness to it, like the theme for a psychedelic cowboy showdown. This is followed by an ambient self-sampling piece, that is more driving than normal, and really delves into some underwater exploration.
