Episode 32 Triple Stops
This episode comes from the twitch live stream on August 3 2023. Things get off to a nice quick pace, with an upbeat feeling, but there’s a nice contemplative bridge mixed in occasionally as well, which then becomes more prominent at the end. Things stay fast paced in the next piece as well, built around a bass groove. This one has a nice lively feel to it, reminding me of a bouncy grateful dead type of jam. The next one has a lively latin feel to it, thanks tot he rhythm. I get a bit more experimental in the fourth song, growing a kind of robotic brooding sound out a dark ether. After the robotic realm it’s time to return to a mellower jazzier sound. The final piece has a nice declarative chord progression, that feels at times like the beginning of some kind of mission or uncertain journey.
